The smile is the kiss of the soul: the act of charity in Raisa Gorbachev Memorial Institute of Children Hematology and Transplantation.

24.02.2011

BioVitrum recently organized a party for the young patients of Raisa Gorbacheva Memorial Institute on Friday, February 4th, 2011. This date was not chosen randomly – February 4th is World Cancer Day and our company wanted to support the little fighters in their desperate struggle for life.In the evening the children and their parents were entertained by a specially invited magician. The little spectators tried to guess how he did his tricks, but in the end everyone had agreed that it was a pure miracle!

Than the kids saw a performance. It was a funny story about a  little boy named Antoshka which made the children laugh and even throw pillows!

Towards the end of the evening the young patients had another guest – a clown who taught everyone how to create balloon flowers and animals.

The happy eyes of the children and their cheerful laughter was the main reason for this evening and that is why BioVitrum plans to organize more of the same parties in different cities of Russia.  This is the smallest thing which we can do to help small children in oncological centers and hospitals forget about their problems and enjoy being a kid for a day.

These events are a reminder to us that in our industry sometimes it’s easy to forget about the actual users of the equipment you supply and we distribute.  It’s nice to know that together we are making a positive impact on people
