"BioVitrum" organized a school "Morphology of liver and bile duct diseases" in Krasnodar

On November 12 and 13, 2021, two events were held in Krasnodar at once, organized by the BioVitrum company together with the Research Institute - Regional Clinical Hospital No.1 prof. S.V. Ochapovsky ". The school-seminar "Morphology of liver and bile duct diseases" united pathologists from all over Russia. Within the framework of the school, a seminar for laboratory technicians "Ways to improve the efficiency of the histological laboratory" was held. The events were held under the auspices of the Russian Society of Pathologists.

More than 100 specialists from all over Russia took part in the school "Morphology of liver and bile duct diseases". The speakers were the leading Russian experts in the field of pathology:

The event covered a wide range of themes related to tumor, non-tumor and infectious liver pathology in adults and children. Among the issues discussed were the pathology of viral hepatitis, intravital morphological diagnostics of chronic diffuse liver diseases, morphological diagnostics of secondary non-neoplastic liver lesions. The program also included aspects of benign hepatocellular tumors and tumor-like formations of the liver in adults, as well as benign and malignant tumors of the liver in adults and children.

The school-seminar has become a fruitful platform for discussions and exchange of experience. The speakers presented to the audience a number of complex clinical cases for joint analysis. The participants were able to evaluate digital images of histological slides without a microscope using the Histoscan.com portal and come to a conclusion.

As part of the school for pathologists, a section for laboratory technicians was held. The program considered the most important issues of histological sample preparation. BioVitrum specialists made presentations on the rules for transporting and fixing material, as well as embedding and staining the material in the process of sample preparation.
