BioVitrum took an active part in the scientific-practical conference with international participation "Specialized medical services in the St. Petersburg Septic Forum 2016"

On the 12 – 14th of September, 2016 in St. Petersburg was hosted the annual scientific-practical conference with international participation "Specialized medical services in the St. Petersburg Septic Forum 2016".

The Forum main theme was the discussion a multidisciplinary approach to sepsis problem in St. Petersburg. To achieve this goal the scientific program contained a wide variety of sessions, plenary and poster sessions, discussions and workshops on urgent issues.

The forum was timed to the World Sepsis Day (13 of September). For the first time, this date has been marked by the initiative of the Global Sepsis Alliance (GSA), which operates in more than 70 countries, supporting the measures aimed at preventing disease and improving its treatmen.

BioVitrum took an active part in the scientific-practical conference.

At the event BioVitrum participated in cooperation with its partner - Alifax (Italy), specializing in fully automated systems for rapid bacteriological seeding, determine the residual antimicrobial activity, antibiotic susceptibility and plating on Petri dishes. As a part of the Sepsis Forum BioVitrum presented its full complex proposal for microbiology laboratories.

The great interest among the participants had the Signal System and Laboratory Information Systems of Russian company-developer – Med IT Solutions.

Signal System, based on the manometric technique, more than 20 years has been used successfully in Europe for sterility blood testing.

At the conference was the section "Radial diagnostics for sepsis" which included reports devoted to the differential diagnosis of organs changes with sepsis, caused by various pathogens.

As the forum result was made a list of recommendations on the diagnosis and treatment of sepsis in St. Petersburg hospitals.
