BioVitrum took part in the All-Russian Oncogenetic Conference

12.07.2019

July 2 - 5, 2019, the II All-Russian Conference with international participation “Tumor Markers: Molecular Genetic and Clinical Aspects” was held in Gorno-Altai State University. Specialists of BioVitrum made the presentation of modern solutions for the research of oncological diseases.

The core purpose of the conference was a review of current trends in oncology, the formation of scientific and practical cooperation of researches and doctors in the field of fundamental oncology. One of the main areas of the conference was the issue of using NGS in oncology. Experts reviewed the possibilities of pharmacogenetic testing using NGS, immunotherapy markers, and bioinformatics in oncodiagnostics.

Special attention at the conference was paid to anatomical pathology. The speakers presented new approaches in this field of medicine. In addition, the fundamental and clinical aspects of biological markers in the clinical diagnosis of cancer were considered.

The conference “Tumor Markers: Molecular Genetic and Clinical Aspects” brought together representatives of the scientific community from all over Russia. On the conference there have been also scientists from foreign countries: Alexander Kel and Jürgen Borlak from Germany and Vladimir Jurisic from Serbia. The experience of foreign colleagues was extremely useful for Russian oncologists.

Modern solutions for oncological diseases research were presented at the BioVitrum booth. Of particular interest among the conference participants was the new digital spatial profiling system GeoMx DSP. The system allows making quantitative analysis of the expression of up to 800 genes and proteins on glass in a selected area after IHC. A minimum amount of sample is required for the analysis of RNA or proteins. Among the main advantages of GeoMx DSP are four-color visualization and high throughput (up to 20 slices per day). In addition, a doctor can choose the area of interest - from 600 microns to a single cell.

At the company booth, BioVitrum specialists demonstrated to the participants a comprehensive offer in molecular and cellular biology. Representatives of the scientific community were able to ask questions about various innovative research technologies, equipment and consumables.
